Caleb Weaver is a Senior Director in APCO Worldwide’s Crisis Management and Litigation Communication practice group. Based out of San Francisco, California, Mr. Weaver provides clients with strategic counsel in crisis and litigation communication, crisis preparation and issues management. He specializes in preparing for and managing crises driven by empowered stakeholders acting in today’s highly social and networked environment. He serves clients in a variety of sectors and industries, including technology, health care, manufacturing, energy, retail, travel and cosmetics.
At APCO, Mr. Weaver has been a leader in the development of APCO’s PROspective Process, a unique stakeholder-driven approach to crisis management, crisis preparation and litigation communications. He splits his time between helping clients develop materials and processes in preparation for potential crises, and helping clients manage major ongoing litigations and acute business and reputational challenges. Among his many current projects, he manages the global project team handling communications around one of the largest mass tort litigations in the world, leads APCO’s internet defamation management offering, and is developing crisis preparation plans for multiple industry-leading companies.
An attorney by training, Mr. Weaver briefly practiced law at the law firm Sidley Austin LLP after spending several years managing policy and communication issues for senior government officials at the state and federal levels.
Mr. Weaver is a member of the bar of Washington, D.C. He received his J.D. and graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School. He completed his undergraduate studies at Yale University, where he received a B.A. in history.
