Jonathan’s career has centered around where marketing, technology and security meet, and is well-known for his innovative solutions to vexing digital and online challenges. He is a marketing technologist with strong experience in online reputation management, social media program management, compliance monitoring and digital risk management.
An accomplished author, Jonathan has produced numerous thought-leadership publications including the two books, Social Selling and Blastoff! Creating Growth in the Modern Direct Selling Company along with risk-mitigation-related whitepapers and thought leadership publications. His firm, Momentum Factor, is the leading provider of reputation management and defense, compliance monitoring and risk mitigation services to direct sales companies globally.
Prior to founding his firm, Jonathan served for 6 years in the national fraud detection practice at Deloitte and helped launch the global consultancy’s flagship anti-fraud product. He also worked as a National Marketing Strategy Partner for OneAccord Partners, served as EVP for Strategy & Markets for security and authentication software company IDMetric, and was Co-Founder and CEO at Hush Communications Corporation, a leading Internet security and encryption software company.
Jonathan is an accomplished speaker and regular presenter at industry associations and trade conferences. He has appeared in numerous international radio and television broadcasts, articles and conferences including the New York Times, Wired Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, Associated Press, PC Week, National Public Radio, and multiple appearances on TechTV’s “Silicon Spin” with John Dvorak, among others.
Jonathan graduated with a BA degree from the University of Texas at Austin followed by graduate studies at Rice University in marketing and publishing. He resides in Austin, Texas with his wife, three beautiful daughters and one new, very energetic Havanese puppy.
