The Origins of The Reputation Protection Coalition

The concept for the Online Reputation & Brand Protection Coalition was developed over the course of several years by three professionals working in separate industries yet each assisting clients with similar online reputation and brand protection problems. Attorney Whitney Gibson, cyber investigator Chris Anderson, Ph.D. and crisis management specialist Melissa Agnes each saw and continue to see the incredible frustrations business owners and members of management experience in dealing with online reputation and brand threats.

After collaborating on many of their clients’ internet crisis cases, the trio decided that businesses need better protections against and ways of handling online reputation and brand threats.    After many hours of whiteboard and telephone brainstorming exercises, these three professionals settled on establishing a non-profit organization that would be centered on three fundamental principles: Education, Advocacy, and Protection.

With the contributions of many, Gibson, Anderson and Agnes have brought this concept to life by founding the Coalition.
